Alpine Lake Chalet
Looking to explore the mountains and lakes above Kelowna, B.C.? Then the Alpine Lake Chalet Stand Up Paddle Board or Kayak tour is right for you! This is a highly unique Paddleboarding or Kayak tour of Idabel Lake, a beautiful alpine lake conveniently located 40 minutes east of Kelowna, in the heart of British Columbia’s wilderness. Idabel Lake is 110 acres in size, which is the perfect size for exploring its many bays, wetlands, islands, cliffs and forested shoreline.
While on the water, enjoy a crisp jump in the lake from your Stand Up Paddle Board or Kayak, or brave a thrilling cliff jump from high above the waters edge. This unique wilderness environment offers excellent opportunity for viewing moose, our protected Loon, eagles, deer and bear. You may even have the opportunity to paddle around fellow fisherman trying their luck at the lake’s native Rainbow and Eastern Brook trout species. Or while on shore, look in the shallows for elusive crayfish which, when fast enough, can be caught with the human hand.
Chalet – While at Idabel Lake, you will have exclusive access to one of the few lakefront chalets. This 2000+ sqft chalet is amply furnished with two living areas, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, wood burning fireplace and a massive outdoor deck offering panoramic lake views. And don’t forget about the large rustic dock offering an excellent place to disembark for your breathtaking paddle in an alpine setting.
While at the Chalet and in-between paddles, Noble Adventures staff will prepare lunch, an outdoor fire (when conditions permit) in a lakefront setting that can be enjoyed with friends and family on the large deck or while enjoying the fresh air on the dock. For those looking to explore on land, there are numerous gentle walking trails that meander through the forests around Idabel Lake.
